About Shipay

A connected companion for doing business in China.

Shipay is a bilingual local-life and business companion for traders, business travellers, exhibition visitors, and small teams navigating China.

From work on the ground to one connected platform.

A visual timeline moves from sourcing in 2012 and shipping coordination in 2017 to Shipay's origin in Guangzhou and the people it is designed to serve.

About the founder

Paul Mechaalani

Shipay founder

Built from practical work with traders in China.

Shipay grew out of Paul Mechaalani's practical experience working with traders in China. He began sourcing there in 2012 and later expanded into shipping around 2017.

The work exposed a recurring problem. People doing business in China often had to coordinate sourcing, exhibitions, travel, local support, and shipping through separate people and services. The journey could work, but it remained fragmented.

Shipay was conceived to bring those practical stages into one clearer experience for people doing business in China.

Shipay was conceived to connect those practical stages in one clearer experience.

Mission and perspective

One platform around the whole trip.

  1. One journey, not isolated services

Sourcing, movement, exhibitions, translation, and delivery are treated as connected parts of the same business journey.

  2. Local context at the right moment

Shipay brings practical China context closer to the decisions traders need to make next.
